ZEN Filament currently has two types of filament: PLA Minima and PLA Ultra.

PLA Minima is our value option, with a lower print temperature than PLA Ultra, which means it’s easier to use and it produces prints high quality 3D Prints

PLA Ultra is our premium option, with a higher print temperature and tensile strength than PLA Minima, It means it’s perfect for projects that require greater strength

ZEN Filament is one of the most affordable filaments you can buy. It’s made from 100% biodegradable, renewable material and is engineered to be as durable as other materials on the market. In fact, we’ve tested it ourselves and found that PLA Ultra has a 43% higher tensile strength than other brands’ PLA filaments. That means your prints will be more likely to hold up for longer than those created with other filaments—and that’s a big deal when you’re trying to print with a material that’s supposed to break down when it hits the ground!

There are a few ways that you can improve the bed adhesion of PLA filament. First, it’s important to make sure that your bed is level and even. You can do this by following a bed leveling guide for your printer. Your first layer is your foundation of your print, make sure its perfect!

Second, you should be sure that your print surface is clean and smooth. If there are any rough spots or debris leftover from previous prints, these could cause problems with the adhesion of your new print.

If you run into trouble, your last resort can be an adhesive spray or glue stick on top of the bed surface. This extra layer will help keep your model adhering to the bed as it cools down.

PLA Minima should be printed between 190 and 210 degree Celsius
PLA Ultra Should be printed between 210 and 220 degrees Celsius.
Your heated bed should be between 55 – 60 degrees for both of these filament types.

PLA Ultra is the highest quality filament we offer. It’s made with a combination of high-quality raw materials and an advanced production process to create a filament that is consistently round, with a very tight diameter tolerance and incredible tensile strength.
PLA Minima has very similar diameter tolerances but uses conventional materials to give it it’s printing properties – We also keep the packaging to an absolute minimum. This results in quality filament at an exceptional price.
